Her career has since developed across both sides of the camera. As an actress, Euphemia has appeared in mainstream and Nollywood productions including The Quiet Kind of Drowning, Dry Bone Valley, Gold Dust Ikenga, Silent Killer, Silhouette, Late, Broken Image and My Friend from London. Her television credits include Lads in the City, and she also appeared in two episodes of Telephone to Heaven.

One of her significant film credits is Gold Dust Ikenga, directed by Silver Achugamonye and produced by Malcolm Benson, in which she played a leading role alongside Ghanaian award-winning actor Van Vicker and Nigerian actor Charles Awurum.

Euphemia’s passion for storytelling eventually led her behind the camera. She wrote, produced and directed Dry Bone Valley, a project that became an important expression of her love for filmmaking and her determination to tell meaningful stories. Her other writing and filmmaking credits include  The Quiet Kind of Drowning, Still Watching, The Truth, Silent Killer, The Subterfuge, Deadly Trip, Time, Sugar Kane and My Friend from London.

She also produced and directed ten episodes of Different Shades Make a Change and has written, produced and directed music videos including Can Rely on You, You Are My God, Close Your Eyes and Made Whole.

Alongside her work in film, Euphemia is an accomplished gospel singer and songwriter. Trained as a classical opera singer from an early age, she began writing songs at the age of 12. Her music is rooted in gospel, combining soulful vocal performances with thought-provoking lyrics intended to encourage, inspire and connect with audiences.

She previously hosted The Mia C Keeping It Real Show on Africa UK Radio, where she explored issues within the Christian community, including self-acceptance, authenticity and the pressure to conform.

Euphemia is also an author of Sandra and My Love, My Heart.

Her entrepreneurial work began in 1995 when she established Fame Star Agency, an acting and modelling agency that later became Fame Star Media. She subsequently expanded her work through Fame Star Youth and Woodberry Aid, a nonprofit organisation dedicated to supporting communities and creating opportunities for young people. She also served as Editor-in-Chief of the international magazine Fame Star.

Through her organisations and creative networks, Euphemia is passionate about using film, visual arts and media to engage young people, helping them discover, develop and showcase their talents while providing platforms for growth and creative expression.

Her commitment to community development has also seen her serve as Social Secretary of the Central Association of Nigerians in the United Kingdom (CANUK), established by the Nigerian High Commission, and as Vice President of the UK Nollywood Producers Guild. She is a strong advocate for unity and collaboration, particularly within the Nigerian and wider African community in the UK. She also works closely with Faith Abundant Ministry International, supporting initiatives involving motherless children.

Academically, Euphemia holds an LLB in Law with International Relations and an MSc in Health and Social Care Management and Policy.

Her work has received recognition beyond the screen. Euphemia was named Afripoet’s Role Model of the Week and has appeared in numerous UK magazines, television programmes and radio interviews.

While her career has taken her through acting, filmmaking, music, publishing, writing, youth development and community advocacy, filmmaking remains central to Euphemia Chukwu’s creative journey. Her passion for storytelling and her desire to create meaningful work continue to drive her both in front of and behind the camera.
